Obituary of Herman Roy Lehr

Mr. Herman Roy Lehr, age 76 passed away peacefully at his Lodi home on Wednesday September 14, 2011. Mr. Lehr was born on August 14, 1935 in North Dakota and he has lived in Lodi for the past 74 years. Mr. Lehr was in the USMC for 8 years, where he served his country during the Korean War. He received numerous decorations including the Bronze Star. Herman was a member of the VFW for over 30 years where he belonged to Lockford Post 9009, and Ed Stewart Post 803 where he also served as Commander of the Honor Guard. Herman was dedicated to making sure that his fallen comrades were given the military honors that they were entitled to receive. Herman is survived by his wife and companion of 27 years, Kathleen Kasinger, his son Terry R. Lehr, granddauther Shunna Lehr, sisters Adelia, Barbara, Bertha, & Amelia. He is preceded in death by his parents Ferdinand & Pauline Lehr, as well as 8 siblings. At Herman's request no services will be held and he will be privately laid to rest at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
