Obituary of Arleen Gladys Beardsley

On January 9, 2012, Arleen G. Beardsley, age 98, passed away peacefully and is in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Arleen was born December 29, 1913, in Los Angeles CA. Throughout her life she has served the Lord faithfully. As her father and mother helped to establish Church of God (Anderson, IN) congregations in several different locations in California, Arlene was involved with the teaching of Sunday school classes to the children and young people. In 1933, she married Leon O. Beardsley and they had two children, Teresa and Lester. Throughout their life together they not only enjoyed things like farming, gardening, camping, boating, and fishing but they also enjoyed being involved in the church. They not only shared the love of the Lord with their family but they shared it with the members of their church family as well. Arleen's cheerful and kind spirit has been a blessing to many. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon, in 1998, and her son, Lester, in 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Williams; her many extended family members, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren that are blessed to have known her. Private Graveside Services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 16 at 11:00 AM at Lodi Community Church.
