Doris Pauken passed peacefully at home 2/22/12. She was born in 1930 in Fanshawe, OK and graduated second in her class from Fanshawe High School in 1948, when her family moved to Stockton. She lettered in basketball and earned a full academic college scholarship. She is survived by her roommate, loving and devoted caregiver, great niece and best bud, Sandra Kay Preston of Stockton, daughter Nancy Pauken of Aptos, CA, sister Ruby Rosen of Austin, TX, 6 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews, 6 great grand nieces and nephews, and many much-loved friends. Her 60-year career in Finance included several fondly memorable years with M Corren & Sons, and she was the accountant for Spike Africa menswear when she retired. She loved her friends and family, her pets, crossword puzzles, Bill Maher, the Lawrence Welk Show, had a crush on Seth McFarlane, and enjoyed the occasional cocktail. She was beautiful and brilliant, with a great sense of humor, huge smile and heart to match. She will be missed by everyone who had the great fortune to have known her.
