William Wall, August 17, 1924 - September 27, 2012 William "Bill" Wall, age 88 passed away September 27th at a local skilled nursing facility. He was born on August 17, 1924 in Turtle Lake ND to Katharina and Michael Wall. He grew up in Turtle Lake on a farm, moving to Lockeford as a young boy. He lived in Pomona after his discharge from the US Navy, and met the love of his life, Dorothy Nagel. The family moved to Galt and later to Lodi where they lived for 35 years. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Dorothy, his parents and eight brothers and sisters. In Lodi, he worked at Miller's Millwork Mart and then became a journeyman carpenter and Union member for over 50 years. He worked on several Lodi buildings including the Grape Festival Pavillion, Lodi Memorial Hospital, residential homes in the Edgewood Drive area, Camanche Dam, Bridges on I-5, General Mills, Tokay High School, Mervyns, and Carnegie Forum renovation to become the Council Chambers. He loved spending time with his family (especially the young children), fishing, gardening, woodworking and watching TV. He is survived by sons Michael (Mary) Wall of Sacramento, Randy Wall and daughter Julie Wall of Lodi. Devoted grandfather to Adrian (Rebecca) Wall, Rochelle Wall (Jeff Gregory) and great-grandfather to Gabrielle Gregory and Audrey Wall. He is survived by sisters Ruth Stiehr of Galt and Viola Lippert of Lodi, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to funeral services on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012, 10:00 AM at Historic Lodi Cemetery, Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 5750 E Pine St, Lodi. Officiating: Pastor Larry Beck, Bethel Church. Visitation: Rocha's Mortuary, 215 S. School St., on Tuesday, October 2nd, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
