Obituary of Linda Beckman Nottingham

Linda Ilene Beckman Nottingham went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2013. She fought a courageous battle with brain cancer, known as Glioblastoma, which was diagnosed on September 30, 2013. Linda was born in Lodi on February 3, 1953, and passed away just short of her 60th birthday. She graduated from Lodi High school. She married her high school sweetheart, Duke Nottingham in 1971 and together they raised 3 children. They were married for 41 years. Linda loved to cook and was always trying new recipes on her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, often gardening in her yard, taking walks and camping and fishing with her family in Montana, Idaho, Canada, Alaska and at Silver Lake in California. She was quite the fly fisherman and had several close calls with bears. She cherished the time she spent with her children and 5 grandchildren. All of the grandchildren loved how their Grammy read them stories, baked goodies with them, and showered them with unconditional love. She is survived by her parents, Bob and Betty Beckman, sister Carol Beckman and her children, Brandon (and Kim) Nottingham of Seattle, Washington, Mandy (and Jeff) Schultz of Brentwood, CA and Troy (and Nicole) Nottingham of Seattle, Washington and her 5 grandchildren, Liah (7), Tanner (7) , James (5), Hailey (5) and Sarah (2). Per Linda's request, there will be no funeral service. A small memorial service will be held for her in the near future. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to your favorite charity.
