Marilyn was born October 31, 1924 in Sanger, California, to Oliver F. and Ethel Berlin. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1942. She married her life long love, Gordon MacDonald on March 25, 1945 upon his return serving in Europe in the Army Air Corps, in the First Baptist Church in Stockton where they were both members. She and Gordon started a family and moved to Lodi in 1957. Marilyn spent her time raising her four sons with love and a gentle hand and guided them in the way of the Lord.
