Jeannette Magnussen Waechter Clottu of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on May 23. She was 88. Jeannette lived in Lodi and Woodbridge for 32 years. She grew up in the Midwest, graduated from Monticello College and the University of Nebraska and worked as a nurse and social worker. She was married to Ted Waechter for 46 years, until his passing, and to Bob Clottu for 17 years. She was active at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, Lodi, and as a patient advocate at Lodi Memorial Hospital. She loved golf, tennis, bridge and fitness.Jeannette is survived by her husband, Bob Clottu; her daughter, Anne, of Dallas, and son, Rick, of Chapel Hill, NC; Anne's children, Matthew Kane of Anchorage and Tara Russell of Dallas; Rick's wife, MaryAnne Gucciardi, and children, Ted and Charlotte Waechter, all of Chapel Hill; Rob Clottu and his wife, Cindy, of Laguna Hills, CA; their children, Brian Clottu and wife Jenny of Temecula, CA, and Sean Clottu and wife Marissa of Ladera Ranch, CA; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Jeannette's life will be held at 2 pm on June 10 at St. John's Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. John's or to the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation.
