Obituary of Lois E. Zimmerman

Lois E. Zimmerman passed away on October 10, 2013, in Lodi, at the age of 78. Lois was born on April 23, 1935 to Joseph and Evelyne Bauer in North Dakota. The family moved to Lodi when Lois was in the sixth grade. She attended local schools and graduated from Lodi Union High School. Lois had a long career as a bookkeeper for many local businesses. She retired from Wallace Computer Service, Inc. Lois was a gifted painter and skilled at quilting, sewing and crocheting.She gave quilts to many friends and family members and donated crocheted blankets to babies at Lodi Memorial Hospital. She was known for her cooking skills and was an avid reader. She is preceded in death by her two daughters, Roberta Spooner and Vicki Spooner Plinski. She is survived by her two grandsons, Corey (Becky) Graig and David Plinski, and her great-grandson, Timmy Graig. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Peggy (John) Trede, Nancy (John) Fletcher, and Tod Zimmerman. Her siblings predeceased her. A graveside service will be held at Lodi Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine St. at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24. Rocha's Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangement.
