Obituary of James Arthur Mittie

James Arthur Mittie, age 77, passed away March 7th, 2014 peacefully surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Fresno California. He joined the Army in 1957 and served his country for six years. He was a master Mechanic and owned and operated several businesses over the years. Jim was a avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends. He was the oldest of six siblings and was preceded in death by his parents Truman and Frances Mittie and his loving wife of 56 years Mrytle. He is survived by his two children, Stacy (Charles) Dougherty, Jimmy (Tammie) Mittie and 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Celebration of life honoring Jim will be held on Sunday March 23rd, 2014 at the Hilton Stockton on 2323 Grand Canal Boulevard, Stockton at 12:00pm.
