Obituary of Dale Edward Nielsen

Dale Edward Nielsen was born Aug 4, 1923 in Dannebrog, NE, and passed away February 21, 2015in Lodi, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Anna Nielsen and a sister Elaine Jackson. Mr. Nielsen attended High School in Dannebrog, NE and in 1941 he enlisted in the US. Army and served in the 69th Infantry Division until 1945. He farmed with his dad on the family farm till he moved to Los Angeles and worked for Knudsen Dairy driving truck. He married Joan Nielsen in 1960 and moved back to Dannebrog. Farming and playing ball was Dales' passion. They moved to Pleasanton, CA and lived there seven years. Dale wanted to farm again and moved to Staples MN. Where they lived for seven years. They then moved to Lodi and have resided here for over thirty years. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years Joan Nielsen, his children, Patricia (Tim) Bride, Therese Nielsen and Christi (Mike) Pellegrene and Laura (Brent) Rechterfurg, and thirteen Grand children. He was a wonderful father, hard worker and loved hi family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution maybe made to Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Ave Stockton CA 95204. A Rosary will be held at Rocha's All Faiths 215 South School St. Lodi and A memorial mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church 215 W.
