Obituary of Anna Helen Ellis

Anna "Anne" Helen Ellis passed away unexpectedly at home the evening of Wednesday, November 11. She was 83 years old. Anna was born in New York City on June 4, 1932 to Louis and Frances Furek, both immigrants from what is now the Slovak Republic. Anna married her best friend and love of her life, George Ellis, on November 17, 1956. They began to build their family a few years after that and after living in Europe for a few years, returned to the US to raise their family and settled in Lodi in 1965. Anna was a die hard San Francisco Giants fan, enjoyed her pets and feeding the local birds and squirrels in her neighborhood. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George Ellis and a daughter, Sandra Sallee. She is survived by her eldest daughter Georgiana Sieler of Lodi and her son, Louis Ellis, of Sacramento along with their spouses, 7 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 3 great-grandsons. Her sisters Vilma Byrne of Binghamton, New York and Lillian Wick of Lodi also survive her. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday November 20 at 2:00PM in the afternoon at Lodi Memorial Park & Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine Street.
