Obituary of Johanna Roberge
Johanna Roberge of Galt passed away October 24, 2016 after an extended illness. Born Sept. 1, 1927, in Rush Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada to John and Anna (Friesen) Kroeker. She married Ernest D. Roberge in Lloyd Minister, Alberta, Canada on July 30, 1947. She lived in Iowa, Lodi, Acampo, and Galt. Her final residence was at Somerford Assisted Living and Memory Care in Stockton, CA. Her and her husband, Ernie, owned and operated Ernie's Septic Tank Company for over 38 years. In her youth, along with her sister, Ramona sang as a duet in their church. She enjoyed trips to Lake Tahoe with her husband and long time friends Lucy and Truman Nagel. She enjoyed Bingo, playing card games, and visiting Jackson Casino. She also enjoyed going on road trips with her daugher. She belonged to Lodi Eagle's Auxillary #848 for over 45 years. She served as president and auxillary mother with the club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ernest. Her parents; John and Anna Kroek of Vancouver British Columbia, brother, Edward of Vancouver, B.C. Sister, Ramona Dunlap of Rossland, B.C. two great-grandsons Andrew Flory of Lodi, Eric Z. Rider of Galt. She is survived by her brother in-law Rudolph E. (Bella) Roberge of Idaho, sister-in-law Darlene, (Frank) Roberge of Lodi, son, Joseph D. Roberge (Karen) of Nevada, daughters Doreene K. (Clifton) Pettyjohn, and Ida (Jeff) Rider, both of Galt. Eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services are Friday Oct. 28th at 10:30, at Lodi Memorial Cemetery on Pine St, followed by reception at Lodi Eagles Hall on Lockeford St. Lodi. Visit www.lodifs.com to leave condolences.
